Awaiting the MRI appointment
On this ordinary morning

This morning, I watched the bumblebee exploring the flower stalks on the coleus on my porch and I felt ridiculously happy.
Ridiculously happy that the little pollinator chose to be here beside me,
Here beside me doing what God created him to do. Going about his business as if this were the most ordinary morning
An ordinary morning buzzing about, exploring the flower stalks of the coleus.
Unexpected flowers from my point of view. Do coleus plants usually flower? I plant them for their spectacular variety of foliage, but flowers?
I check with AI (as we do these days) and find that most gardeners deem the flowers too pale and small and pinch off the flower stalks in favor of fuller, fatter foliage.
But, had I done that, I would have missed the bumblebee this morning, burying his fuzzy face in the tiny blossoms as he buzzed about next to me on the front porch, in the early sun.
I would have missed this (rare these days) moment of feeling ridiculously happy, and so very grateful he stopped by on this ordinary morning
To remind me, even as we wait, that life goes on.

Wishing you well today, my friends. Thanks for stopping by.
With love,❤️
Mary

A lovely meditation, Mary. Thank you.
Forgot to ask you about your July 10 bookstore event. Did you enjoy it?
Hope the MRI is over by now. Grateful for every moment of awe.
